“You are valuable and worthwhile because you exist.” –Unknown
Welcome I am Autumn, and I am glad you’re here!
I am a Clinical Social Worker, providing individual therapy since 2015. Over the last decade I have committed to staying educated, in developing mental health treatments and Neuro-science. I value building safe relationships through our therapeutic alliance .To that end you can expect our sessions to include time to get know each other as well as education and information sharing.
For many years my special interests have included understanding Complex trauma, Neuro-science, Autism and ADHD. I have experience in and enjoying working with adults on healing generational trauma, exploring LGBTQIA+ issues, navigating Neurodivergence, and improving ones relationship to themselves.
In our work we will utilize a number of interventions to assist you in feeling better. These often include skills from DBT, CBT, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, IFS (parts work), and trauma informed, nervous system regulation.
I often say to clients “I do not expect you to be the only vulnerable person in the room.” To that end here is a little about me. I am a “late diagnosed” Autistic and ADHD adult. This self discovery has allowed me to show up even more authentically in the therapy space. Understanding my Neuro- differences allows me to offer you new and alternative perspective on your life experiences. I enjoy audio books, sensory fidgets, coloring, caring for my animals (I have 5 pets). I enjoy watching true crime, Survivor, and listening to Taylor Swift. I know sharing your story can be scary, my hopes is to offer you a safe space for processing, and healing. I look forward to connecting with you.
