“Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary.”
Fred Rogers
I am a licensed graduate professional counselor, LCPC, practicing at Bodhi and at a local grant funded trauma center that services individuals who have experienced domestic violence and/or sexual assault. I have spent the last few years working in different mental health settings, including psychiatric rehabilitation, addiction recovery and sexual and domestic trauma center.
I believe in the importance of creating a safe space for others to be free to be vulnerable to allow for healing, exploration and growth to occur. I use a multitude of therapy approaches and modalities, including mindfulness, motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy.
I work with adults and teens in individual therapy. I see clients who have experienced relationship difficulties, family conflict, anxiety, social isolation, loss, life transitions, trauma, assault, among other concerns.
