I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) with a background of providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families in a Community Mental Health setting.
I have completed the Level 1 Trauma Certificate program through the Ferenz Institute in Baltimore. As such, I strive to create a safe environment for individuals in which they feel accepted. In sessions I lead with empathy and understanding, as I appreciate each individual’s unique story and believe that everyone deserves to have their voice heard.
I enjoy working collaboratively with clients to overcome their stressors and challenges. Through focusing on personal strengths and implementation of self care, I believe that individuals are provided with a solid foundation from which they can accomplish their goals.
I am experienced in working with those going through life transitions, Depressive, Anxiety, Mood, Personality, Trauma, and Stressor related Disorders. I have completed advanced trainings in childhood trauma, physical, sexual, mental abuse, domestic abuse, and sexual violence.
While my theoretical foundation is Cognitive Behavioral, I like to incorporate other modalities such as Person Centered, Psychodynamic, and Mindfulness. To best support my clients in their psychotherapy journey, I utilize various therapeutic techniques based on each individuals needs. In addition, I appreciate the value of incorporating art directives and homework to enhance and reinforce therapy sessions.
I look forward to working with you, hearing your story, and helping you achieve your goals.
