“When action meets compassion, lives change.”
Hello everyone, my name is Brianna Kirk. I am in my final year of the Master of Social Work (MSW) program at Salisbury University, and I am incredibly excited to embark in my journey with Bodhi Counseling as a graduate clinical intern. As a young girl, I had always dreamed of engaging in a profession that focused on helping others. My own personal experiences and trauma has deeply influenced my passion in the field of social work and to provide adequate support to those battling internal and external challenges.
As an intern and soon to be social worker, I am motivated to be a positive support system and provide sufficient guidance to promote the well-being of individuals. My therapeutic process includes a warm and peaceful environment that encourages a positive atmosphere for healing. I am inspired and determined to empower families and individuals independently and as a collective.
A vast majority of my professional experience has been with infant to school-aged children. I have worked with a diverse population of children with significant needs including children with traumatic brain injuries, autism, behavioral challenges, and mental health diagnoses. Throughout my internship and profession, I strive to work with other populations including teenagers, adults, and older adults with various troubles.
